Post offices open late for tax returns

ATLANTA - The post office on Green Street in Gainesville is one of several in and around Atlanta that will be open late Tuesday to accomodate last-minute income tax filers.

It will be open until midnight, as will most of the other dozen or so on the list.

"Next to Christmas, the tax filing deadline is the busiet day of the year for the post office," said Atlanta District Manager Anderson Hodges.
