Georgia native joins Kentucky women's basketball staff

EAST LANSING, MICHIGAN - Niya Butts, a native of Americus, Georgia, is leaving as an assistant with the Michigan State women&#39;s basketball team for a similar position at Kentucky.<br> <br> Butts will join the staff of new Wildcats head coach Mickie DeMoss, who Butts played under at Tennessee from 1996-2000 when DeMoss was an assistant there. Butts was part of two national championship teams at Tennessee in 1997 and 1998.<br> <br> Michigan State head coach Joanne McCallie said Butts did a terrific job in her first season with the Spartans.
