Bama rips Arkansas

TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA - Brent Carter struck out a career high 14 hitters and Zac Welch and Al Hecklinski had three hits each to lead Alabama to a 10-2 win over Arkansas Friday night. <br>

It was Alabama's 10th straight win over the Razorbacks in Tuscaloosa. <br>
<br>
Carter (7-4) allowed just two runs and six hits en route to his fourth complete game of the season. His 14 strikeouts is a Southeastern Conference single-game high this year. <br>

Carter struck out nine different Arkansas hitters in the game, including Kirk McConnell three times. <br>
<br>
Welch went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and Hecklinski went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs for the Crimson Tide. <br>
<br>
The win gave Alabama manager Jim Wells victory No. 400 in a Crimson Tide uniform. Wells is 400-165 (.709) since taking over the Tide in 1995. He is eight shy of 600 career wins in 14 seasons at Northwestern State and Alabama. <br>
<br>
The Tide broke the game open with four runs in the fourth, highlighted by Al Hecklinski's three-run homer. Hecklinski's 10th home run of the season gave Alabama an 8-0 lead. <br>

Ryan Fox homered for the Razorbacks.
