ALBANY - Georgia basketball recruit and former Dougherty High School star Alexander Johnson denies accusations that someone else took his SAT for him.
University of Georgia officials are investigating the latest allegation of improprieties in the basketball program.
The school's looking into charges that Ernest Shanks Junior -- a Colquitt County High School guidance counselor -- asked another student to take Johnson's SAT exam.
Johnson's now a student at Bridgton Academy prep in Maine. He says he took the test in December.
Johnson says, ``Why would I want to take it down there when I was going to take it up here?''
Shanks has quit his job citing a family illness. But he said Monday he does not know either Johnson or any coaches at Georgia.
Johnson -- a 6-foot-10 forward -- says he's no longer interested in going to Georgia.
