AUGUSTA - The Augusta National Golf Club says it will at least match the $3.3 million in charitable donations it made last year despite having no sponsors for the Masters golf tournament.
The tournament will be televised commercial-free this year after the club decided last August to cut its sponsorship ties.
The all-male club -- under pressure to accept women -- says it doesn't want sponsors embroiled in the controversy.
The National Council of Women's Organizations and the Reverend Jesse Jackson's Rainbow/PUSH Coalition have promised to protest the its all-male membership during the Masters tournament in April.
Augusta National has given more than $13 million to charities over the past five years.
