ATLANTA - A group of metro Atlanta lawmakers are looking for a road to name for local traffic reporter Keith Kalland -- who died last November.
The lawmakers introduced a resolution today to designate the merged section of Interstates 75 and 85 the ``Keith Kalland Connector.'' But they discovered that stretch is already named for someone.
The resolution sponsors are casting around for another high-profile naming project.
The proposed honor resolution calls Kalland a ``wonderful voice in the sky.''
Republican Representative Bobby Franklin of Marietta is one of the House members who wants to honor Kalland, who died of a heart attack at the age of 51. He began traffic reporting in 1987 and worked for many local radio stations and WAGA-TV.
Kalland's hometown of Conyers also wants to name a road for Kalland.
