ATLANTA - Hall County has one of the lowest stroke death rates in the state, according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Conrol and Prevention.

The same is true for every other county in northeast Georgia. Banks County has the highest rate of any county in the area.

Hall County's rate is between 98 and 137 per 100,000 - according to the report. In Banks, it's between 148 and 157 per 100,000.

The report says the rates are slightly higher in White, Habersham, Stephens, and Elbert, 138-147 per 100,000.

Lumpkin and White have some of the highest rates for blacks, but not for whites.
