Trial date set in Hall murder

GAINESVILLE - A March 10 trial date has been set for 19-year-old Brandon Cross, who is charged with the murder of an East Hall woman whose body was found in a shallow grave a year ago.

The 47-year-old Hymer's body was found near her Glade Farm Road home. She had been missing for a week. An autopsy showed Hymer had been beaten and strangled.

Evidence gathered at the scene indicated she had been killed at her home and her body dragged to the shallow grave where it was found, less than 200 yards from her home.

Also arrested was Jessica Juanita Cates of Lula, who is also 19. Cates lived with Hymer; Cross was arrested in Michigan.
