Gainesville peace group forges ahead

GAINESVILLE - Gainesville's Peace Corner Group, which has demonstrated against a possible war with Iraq twice in the past few weeks, has aligned itself with a movement called called MoveOn.org which is planning a "Virtual March on Washington" Wednesday.

Sue Harmon of Flowery Branch said MoveOn.org seeks to have every Senate office in Washington called every minute Wednesday by people across the country with the same message: Don't Attack Iraq.

The Peace Corner Group met over the weekend to plan further strategies.
