Youngster shot by policeman-father

LAVONINA - A nine-year-old Lavonia boy remains hospitalized in Anderson, South Carolina, after being shot by his policeman-father. <br> <br> GBI Special Agent Fred Stephens says the shooting occurred Friday evening.<br> <br> &#34;This child is apparently in stable condition and will survive this shooting and it appears the child will make a full recovery.&#34; Stephens says.<br> <br> The GBI was called in to investigate because the father is a Lavonia Police officer. <br> <br> Stephens says the investigation is still preliminary and the officer is on administrative leave from the department.
