Lt. Gov. Mark Taylor marries in surprise ceremony

<p>Lt. Gov. Mark Taylor married an Atlanta businesswoman Friday in a surprise ceremony in the Caribbean, staffers reported.</p><p>Taylor and Sacha Wilbanks were engaged earlier this year but told no one of specific plans for their nupitals, Taylor aide Kristi Huller said. Family members were present with Taylor, Wilbanks and the officiator at the ceremony on Nevis Island near St. Martin.</p><p>Everybody expected something like this would happen pretty soon, but we didnt know exactly when, Huller said.</p><p>Wilbanks is from Lavonia.</p><p>It is the third marriage for Taylor, a Democrat who has been Georgias second in charge since 1998. It is the first marriage for Wilbanks, who owns a nanny placement agency and Internet services company in Atlanta. Taylor also has a 19-year-old son, Fletcher.</p><p>Taylor lives in Albany but spends much of the year in Atlanta, where he keeps a home in the Buckhead neighborhood. Huller said she didnt know whether Taylor planned to sell that home and buy a new one with the former Miss Wilbanks.</p><p>The couple will honeymoon for at least another week on the same island where they married, Huller said.</p>
