The delays will be caused by the annual inspection of the bridge which will require the closing of one lane of the two-lane structure.
The inspection will take place daily between 9am-5pm daily, weather permitting. No work will be done during the morning and afternoon rush hours, or overnight.
Georgia DOT District Engineer Todd Long urges motorists to use an alternate route during the hours set aside for the inspecitons.
"We will inspect every part of the bridge - it's overhead truss system, as well as it's substructure," Long said. "That means we will have flaggers on each end of the bridge allowing only one lane or direction of traffic to cross at a time."
