Charles Jenkins to be sworn in Friday

BLAIRSVILLE - State Representative-elect Charles Jenkins will be sworn in Friday.<br> <br> The ceremony will be held in the Susan B. Harris Chapel on the campus of Young Harris College in Young Harris at 10:00 a.m. <br> <br> Jenkins, a Democrat from Blairsville, received 54% of the vote on November 25 in a run-off against Republican Kurt Cannon for the State House District 8 seat (which includes Rabun, Towns, and Union counties and northern White County). He will succeed Ralph Twiggs of Hiawasse, who died in September.
