Lady Elephants stomp Pickens

GAINESVILLE - Tasha Humphries was honored Tuesday night for her recent milestone.

Humphries, who became the first girls player from a public school in Gainesville or Hall County to reach 2,000 points, was given a game ball before Tuesday night's game against Pickens.

Humphries then went out and scored 19 more points to lead the Lady Elephants to 55-23 rout of the Lady Drgaons.

Kita Waller also scored 19 for Gainesville (4-2) which has now won three straight games.

The Lady Red Elephants got off to quick start with a 18-2 run and kept it up through out the game.

Casey Pettit and Amanda Brown led Pickens County with 6 points each.
