Lady Elephants still No. 1

The Gainesville girls basketball team remains the No. 1 team in Class AAA in the latest gabasketball.net poll released Monday night.

The Lady Red Elephants (5-2) have won four straight.

The Johnson girls are fifth with Flowery Branch seventh. Fannin County is 11th in the lastest poll to give Region 7-AAA four teams in the top 11.

In the Class A poll, the Jefferson girls are ranked 14th and is the only other northeast Georgia school to be ranked other than Region 7-AAA teams.
