Light hoops schedule Friday

GAINESVILLE - With the Lanierland Tournament slated to begin Saturday, only a handful of Hall County teams are in action Friday night.<br> <br> The biggest matchup will be White County playing host to Gainesville.<br> <br> The Gainesville boys team is ranked fourth in Class AAA while the Warriors are ranked seventh. Both teams are coming off big wins Tuesday. Gainesville has won seven straight while White County has won four straight.<br> <br> The Lady Elephants are ranked No. 1 in Class AAA and are on a roll having won five straight. The Lady Warriors have lost three of their last four games.<br> <br> In other action, Flowery Branch will travel to Fannin County. The girl&#39;s game features two top 11 teams. The Lady Falcons are No. 7 and flying high with a 6-1 record. The Lady Rebels are No. 11.<br> <br> West Hall travels to Pickens County while East Hall, Johnson, North Hall and Chestatee have the night off.<br> <br> Jefferson plays host to Athens Christian and Towns County travels to Social Circle in Region 8-A action.
