No. 1 Camden County will play for AAAAA title

ATLANTA - Josh Maxwell rushed for 130 yards, including a 36-yard touchdown that sparked a second-half comeback as top-ranked Camden County beat No. 9 Newnan 20-10 in a Class AAAAA state semifinal game Friday night at the Georgia Dome.<br>

Newnan's Tyler Horne became the state's fifth 3,000-yard passer, throwing for 203 yards and a touchdown, but Newnan could not hold a 10-3 halftime lead.<br>

Camden (14-0) will play next week for the state championship against the winner of Saturday's game between Valdosta and Westside-Macon.<br>

Newnan (12-2), playing in the Georgia Dome for the first time, scored first on a 31-yard pass from Horne to Derrell Stegall. After a 27-yard field goal by Camden's Anthony Pages, the Cougars' Kyle Sherman answered with a 32-yard kick.<br>

Maxwell's touchdown run tied the score and Emanuel Bacon's 23-yard pass to Kevin Patterson gave Camden the lead. Pages added a field goal to complete the win for the Wildcats.
