GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Planning Commission has recommended approval of a 167-lot subdivision which is planned in the South Hall area.

The development is planned for a 206-acre site on J.M. Turk Road.

Lot sizes will vary between eight-tenths of an acre and one acre.

Neighborhood opposition to the proposal centered on increased stormwater runoff and traffic.

BILLBOARDS

The Hall County Planning Commission has rejected a proposal for a billboard in the 1800 block of Thompson Bridge Road.

In addition, a Dawsonville Highway property owner has backed away from an agreement with a billboard company that would have led to the erection of a sign on Dawsonville Highway.

The property in question is near the bridge just west of Gainesville. Both proposals faced neighborhood opposition.
