GAINESVILLE - Oakwood City Manager Jimmy McCauley is retiring at the end of the year.

McCauley has held the position 27 years.

City councilman Sam Evans briefed the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors on the pending change Thursday.

Evans said McCauley will be replaced by Stan Brown, the current transportation and public works director for Jackson County.

Brown will come on board January 12.
