Prep title games set; Buford plays Saturday

ATLANTA - The schedule has been set for next weekend's five Georgia High School Association state championship football games.

The Class A, AA, AAA and AAAAAA championship games will be played Saturday night, and the Class AAAA final is scheduled for Friday night.

In Class AA, Buford will play in its fourth straight state championship game and put its 44-game winning streak on the line when it plays host to Charlton County Saturday at 7 p.m.

In AAAAA, undefeated and top-ranked Camden County will travel to Valdosta. The final will be played next Saturday night at 7:30 at Valdosta.

Statesboro, which survived the semifinal round with a 27-24 overtime win over Tucker, will visit Marist in the AAAA final Friday night at 7:30. Marist advanced with a 35-21 win over Thomas County Central.

In the Class AAA final, Peach County will visit LaGrange Saturday night at 8.

Lincoln County will visit Hawkinsville in the Class A final Saturday at 6 p.m.
