SUWANEE - Pitcher/third baseman Stephen Brock of Suwanee recently signed national letters-of-intent with the Georgia Bulldogs to play baseball.

Brock, a 6-4, 215-pound two-way standout at North Gwinnett High, is the son of Mike and Jackie Brock.

He went 4-3 with a 3.80 ERA as a pitcher and also saw action at third base last year for the Bulldogs and coach Reggie Black. The Bulldogs finished fourth in Region 8-AAAAA and advanced to the state playoffs.

In the summer, Brock was a key member of the East Cobb Astros that won the Wood Bat Association/Perfect Game/Baseball America World Championship.

"Stephen is a pleasant surprise as he is getting better each day," Georgia coach David Perno said. "He has a great athletic frame with his best baseball ahead of him and has the potential to be a two-way player for the Bulldogs."
