Kasten out as president of Braves, Hawks, Thrashers, Philips Arena

<p>Stan Kasten, president of three major league teams in Atlanta, left all three posts Monday, sources told The Associated Press.</p><p>Kasten headed baseballs Braves, basketballs Hawks and hockeys Thrashers and served as the president of Philips Arena. But his positions have been the subject of speculation since corporate owner Time Warner decided to sell the teams.</p><p>Two sources, both with ties to the teams, said Kasten was leaving his positions, though it wasnt immediately clear if he resigned or was fired. An afternoon news conference was called to make the announcement.</p><p>One source said Kasten would remain with the Hawks and Thrashers until the sale of the teams was completed to a group led by Boston businessman Steve Belkin.</p><p>His departure from the Braves was immediate, another source said.</p><p>MORE</p>
