NHMS recognized for fund-raiser

GAINESVILLE - North Hall Middle School was tops in the state in this year's "Hoops for the Heart" fund-raiser sponsored by the Georgia Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance.

North Hall Middle Health and P.E. instructors Cathy Hall and Sherrye Bentley organized and promoted the event, which raises money for the American Heart Association.

Students were encouraged to enter a team in the event and find sponsors.

The sixth grade alone had over thirty teams to participate, and the school raised 91-hundred dollars - the highest in the state for all schools entered.
