GAINESVILLE - Rush Limbaugh, the number one talk show host in the country, returns to the airwaves Monday November 17, more than a month after taking a leave of absence to check himself into a drug rehabilitation center for 30 days.

The Rush Limbaugh Show is heard in Gainesville on WDUN NEWS TALK 550 Monday-Friday, 12n-3pm.

"Rush Limbaugh's on air return is both controversial and compelling," said Jones Andrews, Vice President of Broadcast Operations for Jacobs Media Corporation, parent company of WDUN. "Many, many north Georgians have anticipated his return with interest, and it is certain to be another memorable Rush Limbaugh program on WDUN."

Limbaugh left the air October 10 after admitting that he was addicted to painkillers.

Limbaugh's brother, David, made the announcement of his brother's pending return to the air Wednesday.

"I'm happy to tell you, in fact, that Rush has successfully completed the first phase of his treatment, and he's going to be back at work and once again be behind the EIB Golden Microphone starting this Monday, November 17th," David Limbaugh told substitute host Matt Drudge. "So Matt...he's very realistic about the long road ahead of him and he's committed to staying the course, just as he is and has always been committed to this broadcast and to his family of listeners."

The reports of possible drug abuse surfaced in early October, first in the National Enquirer. The tabloid had interviewed Wilma Cline, who said she became Limbaugh's drug connection after working as his maid. She said Limbaugh had abused OxyContin and other painkillers.

Law enforcement sources later confirmed to members of the mainstream media that Limbaugh was being investigated by the Palm Beach County, Fla., state attorney's office.

That investigation continues.
