Lakeview wins after long layoff

GAINESVILLE - After a 9-day layoff, the Lakeview Academy boy's soccer team whipped Paideia Tuesday, 6-2. <br>

The Lions got going early scoring just 8 seconds into the game when Zach Estes and Cameron King stole the ball on the kickoff and passed it to a wide-open Johnny Laws, who drilled it past the Paideia keeper. <br>
<br>
Seven minutes later Estes headed in a beautiful crossing pass from David Ellis to put Lakeview up 2-0.<br>
<br>
Lakeview got the game-winner in the 15th minute when Laws struck again shooting a loose ball into the net for a 3-0. <br>
<br>
King later scored to make it 4-0 at halftime.<br>
<br>
Paideia cut the lead to 4-1 but Lakeview would hold on for the victory.<br>
<br>
Sophomore Colin Byne recorded 6 saves to get the win.<br>
<br>
King finished with 3 goals and 1 assist.<br>
<br>
Lakeview will travel to The Galloway School on Wednesday.
