Its reputation was still in tact after they dominated the No. 8 Spartans 30-0 Friday night as Buford (4-0) dedicate the opening of its new stadium.
Darius Walker ran for 177 yards and scored twivce on 26 carries. He now has seven TDs in his last two games.
But the Buford defense again was the talk of the town. It was the fourth straight shut out to open the season.
"I thought we were so good on special teams and especially on defense. They have played extremely well all year," Buford coach Dexter Wood said.
Ryan Wood caught four passes for 57 yards and Patrick McGlon kicked three field goals.
Brandon Clark returned an interception 65-yards to finish the scoring.
