Gainesville church ready to expand

GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville City Council has cleared the way for Lakewood Baptist Church to expand its Thompson Bridge Road campus. <br>

The council okayed a special use request involving more than 37 acres near the church's present facilities. <br>
<br>
Lakewood reportedly plans a new, 1,200-seat sanctuary and 400 parking spaces on the tract.
