Investigators seek suspect in weekend murder

COATS, NORTH CAROLINA - North Carolina investigators want to find the man they believe is responsible for a weekend shooting death of a man identified as William Gary Stephens Junior of Jefferson.<br> <br> Harnett County Sheriff Larry Rollins says Stephens was shot and killed about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, and a warrant has been issued for Billy Thomas Pearson, charging him with first-degree murder. He&#39;s also wanted by Georgia authorities for other felonies unrelated to the shooting.<br> <br> Authorities think Pearson is headed for either Virginia Beach or Georgia. He is considered armed and extremely dangerous.
