Police offering reward for hit-and-run motorist in fatal accident

EAST POINT - East Point police are offering a $6,000 reward for information on a hit-and-run driver who killed an officer last month. <br> <br> Officer Christopher Betts, 26, and his partner, Officer James Weinmann, 27, stumbled into oncoming traffic while fighting with a suspect on Atlanta&#39;s perimeter highway. <br> <br> Three cars hit the men, killing Betts and the suspect, Renard Banks, 34. Weinmann is now in rehabilitation, after undergoing surgery on his left leg and pelvis. <br> <br> Police have released a sketch of a black female with medium-length hair, who fled the scene. She was driving a mid- to late-1980&#39;s brown Honda Accord. <br> <br> No charges are expected to be filed against the other two drivers.
