Neal versus Snow in special election

LAFAYETTE - State officials Tuesday are monitoring the state House First District special election between Republican Jay Neal and Democratic incumbent Mike Snow. <br> <br> A judge ordered the special election after hundreds of voters cast ballots in the wrong district in November. <br> <br> Neal edged Snow by just 195 votes in the general election in the district, which includes most of Walker County in northwest Georgia. <br> <br> The Republican Party requested that the secretary of state&#39;s office monitor the election. <br> <br> Neal says his staff has heard talk that problems still are present. He says the state monitors&#39; presence would bring more certainty to the election.
