SNELLVILLE - A Gwinnett County elementary school teacher who posted questions for a countywide student assessment test on the Internet could have his teaching license suspended after all.
A judge ruled last month that there wasn't enough evidence to suspend James Hope -- a fourth-grade teacher at Centerville Elementary School. Hope made the Gateway exam questions public more than two years ago as a protest against the test.
But the Professional Standards Commission -- which certifies Georgia teachers -- appealed the judge's decision Thursday.
The commission says Hope violated the teacher code of ethics by not adhering to a contract he signed to keep the test questions secret.
