Atlanta man convicted of 32 counts of fraud

ATLANTA - A 38-year-old Atlanta man was convicted Thursday by a federal jury on 32 counts of fraud involving $18 million and several financial institutions. <br>

Mark V. Benveniste will be sentenced May 4. He is president of Manatee Partners Limited Partnership. <br>
<br>
William S. Duffey Junior, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia, says Benveniste was charged with providing false information to National Bank of Canada, NationsBank (now Bank of America), and CIT Business Group in a scheme to obtain funds from those companies.
