DECATUR - Police in Decatur are warning women to beware of a man who rear-ends their cars and then assaults them when they get out to look at the damage.
The latest assault happened Monday in DeKalb County about 6 a.m. near Emory University. Police say a pregnant woman suffered minor injuries after she was beaten by a man who hit her car and then attacked her.
Decatur police assistant Bill Clark said a similar accident happened in the city on January 2nd. He says the motive in the attacks seems to be robbery.
Police in DeKalb County and Atlanta say they are not convinced the two incidents are related. Both agencies are investigating those incidents as well as a third attack on January 6th in Grant Park in east Atlanta.
Clark advises women to stay in the car if someone bumps their vehicle from behind. They can either call police on a cell phone or drive to the nearest police or fire station.
