ATLANTA - Accepting a civil rights award from the Reverend Martin Luther King Junior holiday commission, former House Speaker Tom Murphy called it, ``One of the highest honors I ever had.''
The Bremen Democrat was honored at a Capitol celebration of King's birthday. The holiday is typically celebrated on Fridays at the Capitol because state government closes on the federal King holiday.
