Cavaliers fire Lucas

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Cavaliers have fired head coach John Lucas with the team holding an NBA worst 8-and-34 record. <br> <br> The 48-year-old Lucas was in his second season with the Cavaliers but the team showed few signs of improvement. <br> <br> Cleveland just finished a 1-and-5 road trip on which it lost the final four games by 17 or more points each. <br> <br> Lucas has the rest of this season and next remaining on his contract.
