Memorial service Saturday for Rocky Russo

ATLANTA - The memorial service for the owner of Rocky&#39;s Brick Oven Pizza and Italian Restaurant will be held Saturday at the restaurant on Peachtree Street in Atlanta. <br> <br> The service for ``Rocky&#39;&#39; Russo will begin at noon at the landmark pizzeria. His body will be cremated. <br> <br> The 52-year-old Russo died Monday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest. His son -- Rudy -- says the older Russo had cancer and was on the verge of losing his business because of financial problems. <br> <br> Russo was known for serving up deep dish pizza and posting political commentry on his restaurant&#39;s street sign. <br> <br> Politicians were among his customers. He also handed out food and soft drinks to the homeless. <br> <br> Comedian Jerry Farber -- a friend of Russo&#39;s -- will hold a fund-raiser at 8 p.m. Monday at the Side Door Lounge in the Landmark Diner in Buckhead in north Atlanta to raise money to help cover the cost of Russo&#39;s funeral expenses.
