Morris Brown gets rare win

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE - Larry Washington scored 26 points and Morris Brown held off a late Tennessee State rally Thursday for a 73-68 victory. <br> <br> Morris Brown (4-13) led the entire game, but Tennessee State (2-13) trailed by just 3 at 71-68 with 10 seconds left on a layup by Garrett Richardson. <br> <br> Stephen Walton made two free throws with eight seconds left to preserve the victory. He was 9-of-10 from the free throw line and the team finished 16-of-20. <br> <br> It was 30-20 at halftime and the Wolverines built their biggest lead at 39-24 with 15:27 left on a jumper by Washington. <br> <br> Anthony Adams scored 17 for Morris Brown, Walton had 15 and Amien Hick 12. <br> <br> Rosaun Bowens led Tennessee State with 20 points and Richardson had 14. <br> <br> The Wolverines shot 57 percent from the floor in the second half to seal the victory and 51 percent for the game.
