Jury deliberates in ax murder trial

JONESBORO - A Clayton County jury is considering the fate of a teenager accused in the brutal robbery and slaying of her grandparents. <br>
<br>
An ax was used in the January 23rd, 2000, murders at the Ellenwood home of Johnny and Fannie Mae Tubner. <br>
<br>
Jury began deliberations yesterday in the murder trial of 18-year-old Deandrea Carter. <br>
<br>
Carter is charged with malice murder, multiple counts of felony murder and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. <br>
<br>
This is the second trial for Carter, who was 15 years old at the time of the slayings.
