Brothers charged in friend's death

AUGUSTA - Two brothers face criminal charges in the death of a friend who was thrown from the back of their pickup truck.<br> <br> Police say that Grovetown brothers Bruce Madden, 36, and Christopher Madden, 33, were riding around early Friday after a night of drinking and pool. Their friend, 25-year-old James Wills of Augusta, was in the back of the truck.<br> <br> Then Wills was thrown from the truck and run over by one of the truck&#39;s rear tires. Police believe the Madden brothers stopped the truck, saw that Wills was badly hurt and fled the scene, switching drivers.<br> <br> Police found the Madden brothers and the 1988 Mazda pickup truck a short time later.<br> <br> Bruce Madden was charged with vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, hit-and-run, driving while license suspended and failure to maintain lane.<br> <br> Christopher Madden was charged with driving under the influence, improper movement on highway and a felony charge of giving false statements to police and concealment of facts.<br> <br>
