GC's Nesbitt to head Georgia college group

GAINESVILLE - Gainesville College President Martha Nesbitt has been named the 86th President of the Georgia Association of Colleges. The association is made up of the presidents of the accredited public and private colleges and universities in Georgia.

There are 59 member institutions - 34 public colleges and unversities from the University System of Georgia, and 25 private schools representing the Georgia Foundation for Independent Colleges.

Dr. Nesbitt will serve as president of the organization for 2002-2003.
