Heavy rain floods parts of South Cobb Drive

MARIETTA - Motorists who use a busy throughfare near Dobbins Air Force Base in Cobb County are being advised not to leave home late Wednesday. <br> <br> Heavy rain has caused officials to close the eastbound lanes of South Cobb Drive - also known as Georgia 280. <br> <br> Only the far right-hand side of the road is passable because of the flooding. <br> <br> Problems started last night when rain fell fast and hard in the area. <br> <br> Up to three inches of rain fell in parts of the Atlanta area, causing power outages in some areas. <br> <br> The forecast calls for a chance of more rain Wednesday and Thursday.
