Morehouse beats Benedict

COLUMBIA, S.C. - John Washington, the son of actor Denzel Washington, rushed for 132 yards and helped Morehouse beat Benedict 23-14 Saturday. <br> <br> Zajuan Lamb threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Eston Hood, Duwuan Burton threw one 20 yards to Earnest Hunter and Nathan Zackery added a 3-yard TD for Morehouse (2-2, 1-1 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference). <br> <br> Antoni Sowell gave Benedict (0-4, 1-3 SIAC) a 6-0 lead with a 2-yard run in the first quarter, and Cedric Richie ran 1-yard for a score in the fourth quarter. Termaine Lyle completed 11 of 19 passes for 110 yards.
