Williams leads Eagles past Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE - Chaz Williams ran for three touchdowns and threw for another Saturday night as Georgia Southern beat Chattanooga 38-10. <br>

Georgia Southern (2-2, 1-1 Southern Conference) gained 364 rushing yards, and Williams had 120 of them. He also threw for 116 yards, including a 69-yard touchdown pass to Jermaine Austin in the second quarter. Austin finished with 116 rushing yards. <br>
<br>
The Eagles held Chattanooga (0-5, 0-1) to 128 rushing yards, but the Mocs threw for 247. Ryan McCann completed an 18-yard scoring pass to Jason Jones in the fourth quarter for the Mocs' only touchdown. <br>
<br>
Georgia Southern's Kevin Davis scored on his only carry of the game with an 11-yard touchdown run at the beginning of the fourth quarter. <br>
<br>
Patrick Shutters put the Mocs on the board with a 29-yard field goal in the third quarter. <br>
<br>
Georgia Southern is ranked 18th in Division I-AA.
