Columbus man jailed for attacking police officers

COLUMBUS - A Columbus man accused of attacking three police officers is being held at the Muscogee County Jail. <br>
<br>
Curtain Jamain Jones, 28, has been charged with obstruction, crossing a center line, driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and giving a false name to officers. <br>
<br>
He's being held on bonds totaling 18 thousand dollars. <br>
<br>
Police officers stopped Jones August 2nd after seeing him cross the center line three times. <br>
<br>
Police say Jones jumped out of the vehicle and began fighting with officer R. Bohon. A second officer, Jennifer Gardner, jumped in to assist Bohon. <br>
<br>
Police say Jones knocked off Gardner's glasses. Jones continued fighting even when a third officer intervened. <br>
<br>
Jones relented only after Gardner used pepper spray. Gardner received cuts to her knees and hands. <br>
<br>
Bohon was treated and released from Doctors Hospital for severe pain in his rib cage.
