Man accused of killing brothers waives extradition

LaFAYETTE - A man accused of killing two brothers doing volunteer work at a boys home in northwest Georgia has waived extradition in Arizona, where he was captured 12 days later. <br> <br> Donnie Allen Hulett, 21, is expected to be returned to Walker County within a week, Sheriff Steve Wilson said Monday. <br> <br> Hulett is accused of killing Larry Phelps, 62, a retired Whitfield County educator from Dalton, and Arvine Phelps, 69, a retired Dalton State College professor from Rocky Face. <br> <br> The two were shot July 22 while clearing brush near the Mountain Top Boys Home in Villanow, a residence for teenagers who have been in juvenile court. <br> <br> The attacker robbed them of $400 and other personal items and stole Larry Phelps&#39; pickup truck. Hulett was driving the pickup when he was arrested 30 miles south of Phoenix, police said.
