BellSouth expands DSL service in Hall County

FLOWERY BRANCH - The state president of BellSouth Phil Jacobs announced Tuesday in Flowery Branch that due to recent upgrades, two-thirds of Hall County now has access to DSL service.

The serivice allows homes to obtain high-speed internet service without tying up the phone lines.

Jacobs says a lot of money has been put into to bringing the service to Hall County.

"In the last three years in Hall County alone, we have invested over $25 million and continue to make improvements here," Jacobs said.

Jacobs appeared at the monthly meeting of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce.

He says that in the next three years BellSouth plans to offer DSL service to 90 percent of the state.
