In a courtroom near campus, attorneys from both sides began whittling down the pool to 12 jurors and 3 alternates. A final jury is not expected to be seated until at least tomorrow.
Basketball player Steve Thomas -- also accused of rape and aggravated assault -- will be tried in October or November. Basketball guard Tony Cole -- charged with aggravated assault -- likely will be tried after Christmas.
