Cox avoids runoff in GOP Seretary of State race

In the only open state race, Republican legislator Kathy Cox - unrelated to the Democratic Secretary of State - won the GOP bid for state school superintendent against fellow former state Representative Mitchell Kaye.<br> <br> With 3,095 of 3,165 precincts - 98 percent - Cox had 332,085 votes - 72 percent to Kaye&#39;s 129,327 vote, 28 percent.
