DeKalb police officer shot, suspect killed

TUCKER - A DeKalb County police officer is hospitalized in stable condition after being wounded in a shootout with a suspect who was stopped for an alleged traffic violation. <br> <br> The suspect was shot and killed yesterday a short while later by officers inside a Walmart store. <br> <br> Authorities say Officer George Dudley was taken to the DeKalb County Medical Center with a gunshot wound, but the injury was NOT life threatening. <br> <br> The suspect fled in a white pickup truck, which was located a couple of miles away in the Walmart parking lot. DeKalb County Police spokeswoman Lieutenant Pam Kunz says the suspect was surrounded by police, shots were exchanged and the man was killed.
