Woman charged with daughter's death, arson

DECATUR - Six children are in protective custody after their 31-year-old mother was jailed on charges she started a fire that killed her three-year-old daughter. <br> <br> Jillian Smiley of Decatur is being held without bond on arson and murder charges. <br> <br> Police say Smiley started the fire Saturday by setting fire to her boyfriend&#39;s clothes. Her boyfriend -- Marcus Smith -- was at home and received minor injuries in the blaze. <br> <br> Smiley and her other six children escaped. The body of Smiley&#39;s daughter -- Icesys Smith -- was found inside the house. Smith says he was the child&#39;s father. <br> <br> Smiley realized her three-year-old was still inside the house after counting her other children. They have been taken into protective custody.
